The Chamber runs a year round series of business programmes, including a full calendar of events. We also administer a number of business programmes unique to the district. LINK Lunches – For business owners, managers and professionals, these events provide an opportunity to network and hear advice from inspiring business professionals. Thanks to hosts Fahrenheit Restaurant Te Awamutu.
Business After 5 (BA5) – The Business After 5 series is an international chamber flagship event, showcasing a local business at their premises, and allowing networking and exchange of ideas once a month.
Networking Events – We run one-off events and networking series' including our popular Ladies Night series.
TOTALLY TE AWAMUTU
Totally Te Awamutu is a local campaign celebrating Te Awamutu as a truly awesome town! The programme supports events, the Shop Local programme, and keeping our businesses up to date through the Totally Te Awamutu Facebook page and a regular e-newsletter. You can take ‘the Pledge’ as a commitment to make Te Awamutu a great place to live, work, play and learn. ‘Spending local’ is a key part of this, and the Pledge is a reminder of this commitment. We can provide members with posters, window stickers and badges for your website. The Totally Te Awamutu initiative is supported by our design partner Alexandra Images. BUSINESS HEALTHCHECKS AND 0800 NUMBER
Through the New Zealand Chamber network, you can access the Business HealthCheck and 0800 number. The Business HealthCheck is a resource to help you quickly and effectively evaluate your current business situation. The resource is divided into four key areas: Sales and Marketing; Human Resources, Leadership and Administration; Accounting and Financial Management; Operations or Production and Service Delivery. WAIPA BUSINESS AWARDS
The Cambridge and Te Awamutu Chambers of Commerce convene the Waipa Business Awards. As the premiere business event in the Waipa region, the Waipa Business Awards aim to encourage and support businesses in their quest for success through sustainable growth, development and excellence. The last awards were held in 2019 at Mystery Creek.
MEMBER BUSINESS SEARCH
Business Search NZ is an online directory where Chamber members can explore businesses in your area and nationally, list your services and connect with other members and potential customers. Use the directory to build a profile and portfolio for your business. Your listing will be searchable by name, industry and/or location, and you will be able to communicate with other businesses from your user dashboard.
