Fran Jones, Administrator

Fran Jones is the Administrator of the Te Awamutu Business Chamber. Fran has a background in marketing, events management and communications.

Fran moved back to New Zealand in 2018 after spending ten years living and working in Melbourne and where she also had her two children.

She was raised in a small rural community and has fond memories of her childhood. Moving back to New Zealand, and settling down in Kihikihi was the best decision. Her primary aged children attend Puahue School, where she also serves as Board Member.

Fran is passionate about her local community and enjoys her diverse role at the Chamber. The best part of her role is interacting with our Chamber members.

Rebecca has spent much of her life in and around  Te Awamutu and considers Te Awamutu to be her hometown. Although she is currently living just over the hill near Mangakino running a dairy support block with her husband and children, Te Awamutu remains close to their hearts with many family and friends still there. Along with farming, Rebecca's background lies in accounting and bookkeeping having started off with Kelly and Bryant some years ago. Since then, she has held a number of financial and treasurer roles as well as founded and run a successful bookkeeping business (Do the Sums) before selling this to focus on other areas of her life. Rebecca now looks after the accounts and is board secretary for the Maori Trust organisation where the couple works, as well as running her own small bookkeeping business. She has a real passion for business and particularly helping small businesses grow and succeed and feels taking on the role of Treasurer with the Chamber is a great way to give back and support the local community.
